Dmitri’s Coffee 7th Circle

Located just off airport road in the heart of 7th Circle, Dmitri’s Coffee is one of the best places for espresso drinks in Amman. Now, you may know of Dmitri’s in Weibdeh, but I argue the 7th Circle location is much better. The staff is amazing and after a few times going to Dmitri’s they already know your order. The laid back vibes make it the perfect place to study hard when you have an exam coming up or an essay to write. The coffee is incredible here and like their slogan “you can’t skip coffee,” I personally recommend the caramel macchiato, it is delicious, but you can’t go wrong with anything on the menu.

Almond Coffee House

Almond Coffee House has two locations and both are equally good. This is a great place to study or just hang out with friends, it is super popular with Jordanians and expats alike so it can be difficult to find a table at times but trust me it is worth the visit. The food at Almond is awesome and it is the only place in Amman I have found a bagel with cream cheese. I suggest if you go to get one of the loaded croissants to share with friends they’re delicious and probably the best croissant I’ve had while here.

Manara

Located a short walk from Paris Circle in Weibdeh, Manara is an awesome spot to have a cup of coffee or tea and relax after a hard day in the classroom. Known for its amazing view of Amman, Manara has one of the best patio areas of any of the coffee houses I recommend here. If it's a nice day out, go to Manara. I cannot express enough how beautiful this view is, especially at sunset. The drinks at Manara are top notch, but can get a little expensive if you go there everyday. Manara is great for if you want to break out of your normal routine, grab a Nutella Latte, or lemon and mint juice and just relax.

Al Wali

Al Wali Cafe in Abdoun Circle is right near the Amideast office in Amman. The vibes at Al Wali are perfect for sitting back and enjoying time with friends. The food at Al Wali is top notch and it's a great place to grab a lunch in between classes. I also highly recommend doing brunch here at least once while in Amman. The prices are great and the owner is extremely friendly and you will get to know him after going a few times. This is one of my favorite places to grab a milkshake or a delicious lemon with mint juice and decompress during the day or in the evening after class.

Cyber Gaia

Cyber Gaia is a truly hidden gem. Located on a side street of Rainbow street in Jabal Amman, Cyber, as it is colloquially known, is an awesome night-time hangout spot. When I say I go here almost everyday with my Amideast friends, I mean it. The staff at Cyber are amazing and you will become fast friends with them. The staff are all in their early 20’s and are in university as well. Cyber is not a place to study but to have fun with friends after a hard day. Filled with board games and large TVs with PS5s, Cyber is awesome to kick back and have fun. The drinks at Cyber are awesome. You can get anything from a Dutch Bros style Red Bull, to a Spanish Latte, to a mango smoothie. Cyber is the place for young people in Amman to hang out and have fun with friends.
