Tutoring & Touring in Zaouiat Ahansal

Tutoring & Touring in Zaouiat Ahansal

During our semester programs in Rabat, Morocco, students in both the Area & Arabic Language and Regional Studies in French programs go on a number of excursions. This month, the Spring 2018 students went to Zaouiat Ahansal, a small town in the Azilal Province of the Tadla-Azilal region of Morocco.

Zaouiat Ahansal is fairly remote and students would have a hard time getting there on their own. Of course, we don't go there just for sightseeing, but to also better understand the local context and to meet people and organizations working in the area. Check out some of the wonderful pictures of this amazing trip, including their work with the Atlas Cultural Foundation, where AMIDEAST students tutored students in English.
