"Abroad in Jordan: My Bucket List" by Veronica Tis
Reflecting on my six weeks in Jordan, I couldn’t help but think about what I have been able to accomplish. Before coming to Jordan, I made a mental list of my goals for my study abroad experience. These goals included what I wanted to achieve academically, such as holding a conversation in Arabic, what I wanted to achieve socially, such as going to cafes with locals, and places I wanted to visit in and outside Amman. Because of the opportunities for academic and social growth, as well as the numerous historical sites to visit, my mental list has grown larger and larger, to the point where I have decided to finally compile a Bucket List. The list will undoubtedly expand as the semester continues, but it serves as a reminder to me why I chose to come to Jordan in the first place and highlights my ability to achieve my goals and develop in various aspects in just a short amount of time.
