"Ma'in Hot Mineral Springs – A Peaceful Weekend Escape" by Myrna Altall
The Ma'in hot mineral springs and waterfalls also known as Hammamat Ma’in (حمامات معين) are 74 km south of Amman, 264 meters (866 feet) below sea level, and can be a relaxing weekend escape out of Amman.
The minute you step out of the car you can definitely sense the difference in temperature!
The beautiful waterfall, ranging from 45°C to a blistering 60°C, tumbles off the hillside in a series of waterfalls and less assuming trickles, and is collected in a variety of pools for public bathing. It contains potassium, magnesium and calcium, helping blood circulation & the nervous system. Ma’in hot springs helps enhance tranquility, relaxation, and disconnection from today’s busy life and daily routine.
